Day 45 - Steelwork installed on first floor

The steel work arrived for the 1st floor South window (steel sections were made locally at the smithys). This will now support the roof beam at the apex & lets us get more glass area in there than would otherwise have been possible. Looks great with the bolted steel sections in red oxide primer (although I guess we'll need to cover it up !). Still some more joinery to do up there and the remaining part of the roof needs boarded up and the membrane fitted.
Work was also done on the soffits & facings, with the front of the garage being completed, and around the front of the workshop connecting hall. Rear of the extension has also had some work done.
The lads are coming back tomorrow to put a shift in, which will likely see round the garage completed & hopefully the upstairs roof done. Think the slaters are coming next week - though we'll be expecting them when we see them I think !
